Rosenberg’s Remembered

A series of work I did in the 1980’s featured Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, accused of conspiring to commit espionage with the Soviet Union. As a young girl living in Indiana, a traditional, conservative, Republican state, and the daughter of progressive Jewish parents, the 1951 announcement of the Rosenberg’s arrest and their execution two years later, was seared into my mind.
